For Canada Day, we, generally, LEAVE. Seriously. For the past two years, we have been in the States for Canada Day, preferring the hoopla and festivities of the Fourth. Holidays in Canada are L-A-M-E. I think that it is because everything is closed. It is illegal for stores, etc. to be open, and the gov't imposes astronomical fines for those businesses that don't comply. So, my theory is that, because everything is closed, people HAVE to stay home, rather than getting out an celebrating with others. Even Thanksgiving is quite underwhelming, in comparison to the U.S.
One person told me that she could tell that I was American because "Americans are so ALIVE." I took it as a compliment.
Wow. Who would've thought?

I'm glad you are back!! Someone else needs to post on here too. If I don't have anyone to comment on I feel compelled to post, and I just might take over this blog.
It is like uncomfortable silence when I see that noone has posted, I feel compelled to fill the space.
