Merry Christmas to ALL!!!

It seems that every year we are wishing for a White Christmas!! Well, this year we didn't have to wish because the snow started early in December and hasn't stopped. ( Does this mean that spring will come early?) We don't have as much of the fluffy white stuff and places south but the roads are slick.
Everyone be careful on your way to church to welcome in Christmas.
Merry, Merry Christmas!!!!!
Steve, Amy and Jim's sister, Marie, will join us for Christmas dinner and we hope to see the rest of the Haugen clan over the weekend. Hopefully, someone will take a few pictures to post.
Love and Peace,
Mom/Aunt Janis

Warm Wishes to All!!

It's been freezing cold here, but it looks like it's even worse in other places. Stay warm this Christmas and safe travels to those who are braving the weather to visit their families!!

Deer Hunt 2008

Unfortunately the only deer horns we saw during hunting were on Dad's goofy friend at the venison burger feed. The antlerless version revealed itself Sunday morning right before Dad and I went out. Needless to say, we won't be eating venison until next year's free burger.

Thanksgiving in Colorado

Happy Turkey Day!
Heather & Justin had a wonderful day cooking and cooking and cooking...
The turkey took a loooong bath in an orange five gallon bucket from HomeDepot.
And 12 or so hours later came out of the oven being all delicious. We cooked enough for about 8 people: (leftovers for a week)
We'll relax by the fire for the rest of the evening and maybe play some games that don't require much movement. Then eat a little more. Apple pie is waiting with Justin's favorite secret ingredient:

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Happy Thanksgiving from the Nelson's in Tomahawk. I hope everyone is enjoying this very special day!

Derek and his girlfriend ( her name) or

Is there anyone out there that can help me out??
I suppose everyone is out there celebrating Halloween. Mr. Jim and I are going as retired folks. I'm looking forward to seeing all the costumes.

Heather and Justin Dancing to Alyssa's *Favorite* Song!!

Try JibJab Sendables® eCards today!

Happy Birthday, Marshall!!!

I was, initially, going to post this because nobody was posting after all of the engagement announcing. Get it? Can't Touch That kind of post? Well, then I realized that it's Marshall's birthday.

That seemed like a better fit. I mean, seriously, only Marshall could carry off those Genie Pants. Or could that be a good look for a wedding party???? Oh, well......

Break it down!!!!

We had Visitors!!

We've had a few visitors during the past few weeks so thought I'd share a few pictures with you.
First the turkeys came.

Turkey season started so these Jakes paid us a visit.

Next came the big buck and his lady friends. The hunters were excited to see him.

Our next visitors were Steve and Amy. Steve was filming in Merrill on Sat. so we were lucky enough to have them stay over to watch the Brewers and Packers. A sad, sad day for both of the teams.

Tonight we get cultured. Going to a concert to round out a great weekend.

Can you believe this!!!

I finally got on the blog to post something. The stars must be lined up in the right order. Mr. Jim and I have not done anything too exciting. We do enjoy watching leaves turn color, grass grow and the DOW do funny things. We have our Stealth Cam up and running so I'll post a few of the wildlife we've seen lately.

Here's Mr. Racoon eating corn A doe and her fawn

Mr. Bear and a spike buck. He's one of two.

Now I also received a few pictures from Junal so as long as I am on the blog I'll post them, too. Looks like she has a houseful with all her pets.

BOOKENDS???? I'm going to come back as a cat or a dog. What a life!!

Looks like Zelda is well loved. I wonder who caught all the fish. I bet it was Gianni.

This post should fill up the whole page so I'd better stop.

Love to all, MOM/Aunt Janis

Cathy, you'll have to fix this page because I can't make the spaces between paragraphs smaller.
